Paying tax on a Share Incentive Plan

Ive got shares in a Share Plan Incentive (Tesco). I have now left Tesco and the shares Ive got are now liable to income tax and NIC. I was just wondering which is the best way to pay the tax and NIC. Ive got the options of either a)selling all my Plan shares (the option Id prefer). b)selling sufficient Plan shares to meet tx and NIC liability and transfer the remaining shares into my name. Or c) pay tac and NIC liability by cheque and them notifying me the amount due after they have contacted Tesco payroll (least favourable option). With option a, does that mean I will get one more pay from Tesco with it consisting of the value of the shares (I have already received my final payslip and wages along with p45)?
