Hi everyone. Quick question, when you book a ticket from Red spotted hanky do they send a physical ticket or do you print it yourself? Also how far in advance do you have to book. Thanks0

AC - thats depends.
1) You can collect it from your train station or the place where you are taking the train. Once you have booked they will give you the "reference" number for you to key in the machine at the station using any of your credit or debit card for retrieving ticket purposes only.
2) If your train station does not have the ticket machine to print out the ticket then you will need to get them to send to you Free of charge ( provided you book in advance say like a week before you travel - this is due to our unreliable Royal Mail)
3) if you are desparate for the tickets they can send it out to you on next day delivery with a fee on top of your ticket.
4) you cannot print ticket at home. You either get them to send out to you or you collect it at ticket machine @ station (CHECK make sure you have ticket machine at the station that you are getting on)
How far advance we book the ticket depends on how much you wanna pay?
The earlier you book the cheaper fare you get. The shorter period you book say 2 or 3 days before travel date then the fare will be much higher.RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -
