Did you manage to get to see your Doc?
Thanks hun.
Got an appointment with the triage nurse and was given anti inflammatories. Got to see the doctor next friday, unless I feel worse before then.

Off to bed now, so good night all. Let the night shift begin.
CW - hope you feel better tomorrow. Did you get an appointment with your doctor?
Thanks snd, only could see the triage nurse but she couldn't say what was wrong.
Funny thing was she went and got another nurse who also didn't know what is wrong with me so they decided to give me anti infllamatories and make me an appointment with a real doctor for next friday.
Hope your feeling better too hun. Make sure you stay warm and dry.

Can't believe how many practices now have this triage system. We are fortunate in that we can still make an appointment to see a doctor, usually on the day if you ring early enough.
A friend of mine was only able to see triage nurse a few weeks ago and was prescribed antibiotics for supposedly infected toes. This happened for 2 weeks and now she has been for x rays and has broken 3 toes! If you don't feel better at the beginning of the week, can you see a doctor then or do you have a walk in centre you can go to?
I am feeling a bit better, just struggling with my breathing really, but don't think I have a chest infection. Need to get myself together today and go and do mum's shopping. It is amazing how people say "if there is anything we can do to help, just let us know" then when you ask them to get some bread and milk, they are busy. Just makes me so cross. Never mind, rant over.0 -

The nurse said call again if I get worse but this triage thing is ridiculous. You have to call the doctors, tell the receptionist whats wrong with you. She decides whether you can see the triage nurse or whether the nurse should call you. When I had a chest infection, a really bad one, earlier this year, I called the doctors, told the receptionist. A nurse called me back and said I need to see the doctor. Then someone called me back with an appointment. Then I could go in and see the proper doctor. They call this progress:(:(:(:( What a waste of time and phone calls.
They closed the walk in centre at the local health centre a few months ago unfortunately.
I will just ahve to see how I go on.
Sorry your so called friends are being unhelpful, but if you have breathing problems I think you should go to the doctors and get it checked out. It might not be a chest infection but it could really need treatment off a doctor.
