The APG posts seemed to have slowed so now maybe I will get a chance to read most of the posts again....have been keeping up with peeps on FB as am on there most days comping.....
If any of you are near the magazine section of your newsagents/supermarket next week, see if you can spot the December issue of '25 Beautiful Homes'...my son's house is featured in it.They came and had it decked out it as if it was Xmas in August....lol....not sure if his will be on the cover or not, they intimated that it might have been chosen, will have to wait until I see it myself....
How will we know which is your son's house? Did he win something for being one of the 25 beautiful homes? We need a reminder when it is out please so we can go nosey:DBe thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Thought you'd like a 'nosey'.....No, he did not win anything....his interior designer contacted the mag and suggested that it would be a good choice for them to feature for their Xmas edition, they sent someone along and talked my son into allowing them to photograph a few of the rooms( main bedroom, one of the smaller bedrooms , his bathroom, the hall and a glimpse through to his home cinema room, the landing, the kitchen, the huge main sitting room , which has a lovely inglenook fireplace, and his library/study but not his office as it was too techie ...as it was for Xmas they decorated it with some garlands and a tree, placed parcels all wrapped in gold paper by the window seat in the main bedroom and talked my DIL to pretend to be writing cards and then to be baking in the kitchen,( it's a massive kitchen complete with Aga) also one of the front door with a garland hanging on it and logs stacked in the porch...they wanted a country house look and were careful not to photograph any of the high techie stuff my son has, although they did take one in the library/study with a Christmassy snowy scene on a computer screen on the desk.....can't share the pics 'cos of copyright, but will tell you when I see the mag what is on the cover and which pics are of my son's house( which they end up using)......my son gets a free copy of the mag !!!:DHow will we know which is your son's house? Did he win something for being one of the 25 beautiful homes? We need a reminder when it is out please so we can go nosey:D0 -
Morning all
Really cold and foggy here this morning so looking like a static electric frazzle now with my hair after the school run, picture animal from the muppets and that's what my hair looks like in the damp lol
Not much doing here today as trying to cut down on how much we use the car to save bit of money on petrol (start saving for Xmas stuff). Am off out to local sains tonight tho to check in on toys see if any pallets out for tomoz. Other than that going to make some icecream cupcakes (cakes in the little cone/cups for the kids to decorate when they get home. Then just potter and tidy (little one allowing)
Will catch up in a bit

Might be fishing later, if this drizzle stops. It isn't cold but it is sooooo dark, and the clocks go back at the weekend so will be even darker late afternoon next week , so have to try an fish this week before the days are too short.
Not up to speed with supermarket shops as have switched to Aldi, and finding some excellent bargains...their beef joints and fillet steak are best quality and very reasonably priced. Also love the chicken breasts and bread.Milk is 98p for 2 litres and their chocolate is excellent. The fruit and veg are good too , the only thing I cannot get is a large pineapple( they have very small ones and we like to have 2 large ones every week)Hubby loves their continental cooked meats and their equivalent of Philadelphia is only 49p....best thing is not having to faff with mocs and risk getting trouted....just in and out shopping with no bogofs just low prices.Loving it.0 -
