Maybe you and AH could sue her? Perhaps to the tune of £1000:p

  • At my doctors the recception staff ask why you want to see the doctor before you can even arrange an appointment.

    They call it triaging.

If you say, like I did last time I went, it was non urgent, I had a sore toe I got an appointment for 4 days later.

If its urgent and you want seeing the same day, you still can't make the appointment, the nurse phones you back and then she also asks why you want to see a doctor. Then she decides if you can see him.

Last time it was an urgent one,

1 - told the receptions its an urgent appointment I need.
2 - the nurse phoned me back 1 hour later, told her and then
3 - the doctor phoned me back another 1 hour later and told me to come in
4 - got the appointment and I was right, I did have a chest infection.

Spent most of the morning next to the phone, and they say this is progress:eek:

Morning all, caught up now. Been up for ages but only just switched lappy on. Been busy making cakes for hubby to take to work on his last day. Am going out for lunch then back into the office with him for his final afternoon and speeches and presentations. It isn't as bad as it sounds as I do know most of his colleagues, he has been with same company all his working life.

Thank goodness we don't have doctors like some of you. We can still ring on the morning and get an appointment that day without any questions from receptionists. Mum's GP on the hand ......... when you finally can get an appointment and turn up, they say you have got the wrong day/time etc. Done it 3 times since dad died. First time I thought it must have been my mistake but didn't think so, next time hubby took her, told wrong time, she had missed appointment, although with his "gentle persuasion" she did get seen, then the last time, I was told I had got the day wrong! So infuriating.

Hope you manage to get an appointment Blue.
AH - hope you are feeling better today.
