Wage Rise

I'm really hopeless at working these things out so looking for help;

I get a wage rise tomorrow go from £29376 to £30036 (£660) was wondering how much extra per month that'll be after NI Tax and 6% super ann?

Then in Aug I get another go from £30036 to £31707 (£1671) wondered same as above. I'm hoping that from Aug these will allow me to make over payments of £100 to loan to clear it early.

    No idea how super annuation works, but if you multiply you pay rise by 0.67 that will take out the tax and NI - there is no tax allowance as that has already been used up.

    660 * 0.67 = 442.20

    1671+660 *.67 = 1561 (£30 a week / £130 a month)
    No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

    Sorry to be cheeky, but can you post the net of £31707 when you get it? I take it you are a Scottish teacher too?

    Just re-read your post and it'll be August before I'm at £31707, however the NET pay of £30036 (latest pay rise) is £1751.31 if that info helps any.

    Hope x
