Cheap ready to roll regal/royal icing

Mrs MikeTaff likes to do a bit of cakebaking, and doesn't have the time to make her own icing to cover the cakes.
Can any of you cakey people out there recommend where to buy cheap icing from?
The best we have found is ASDA own brand, which is currently £2 for 1kg. Unfortunately we often find empty shelves at our two local stores.
Does anyone know if there is a better deal out there?
Do Lidl or Aldi sell anything?
Cheers.

I can't speak for Lidl, as I don't have one that close to me:( however, I've only ever seen it in Aldi in the run-up to Christmas (so looking at the Christmas stock that seems to be appearing in stores already , it should be back in at Aldi soon!) However, I'm not as keen on the Aldi ready to roll icing - it's quite hard. Tesco's own rtr icing is £2.28 for 1kg, but I've found it the opposite of Aldi's - it can be a little sticky (but that could just be my Tesco storing it badly!) Morrison's own is good, but slightly more expensive at £1.49 for 454g. My local B&M did have some of the Dr. Oetker rtr icing, at a reasonable price (sorry, can't remember how much now!) but it's oos - although they do still have rtr marzipan.
My fave is still Asda's - it looks like it's favoured by many as my local store often has empty shelves too!
I always look out on the reduced shelves after any "season" (i.e. Halloween/Christmas/Easter) as sometimes some of the supermarkets reduce their stock to clear - and then I freeze it! (Halloween is always useful for black rtr icing and it's such a pig to colour white to black that i'd rather buy it ready coloured - reduced of course!:))0 -
Did check out a B&W store but alas did not have any icing, just the marzipan. Was very cheap there for food colourings.
Mrs Mike Taff did find some the other day in her local ASDA. Also, she was told by a worker in there that you can also place a customer order at the customer service desk so that you don't have the disappointment of empty shelves.0
