Hi,
Just got a slip posted through the door, similar to the 'sorry you were out' type but it said i have a parcel but the postage wasn't paid for it so if i want it i have to pay for the postage but the postage is £30!!!!!!!!!!! Has anyone had anything similar to this? Would i be allowed to look what's in the parcel before paying? Any help gratefully recieved!

I would check with the post office to see if there is anyway of seeing where it has come from.
Are you expecting anything? Any prizes outstanding?Weight Loss - 102lb0 -

Not expecting anything, haven't been doing comping for long and i haven't had any letters/emails saying i have won something. I'm just trying to work out what could cost £30 to post- has to be something from abroad.

First of all which company was the slip from?? I believe there is a scam similar to this with bogus companies leaving slips to con you out of the £30, so be careful0

wow that's alot!! The post office usually add on £1 just for a letter missing postage so maybe for a bigger parcel they add on lots more, but that's just crazy! I'd just go and say please can i have a look what it is before I pay, and then contact the company who sent it, hope it's something decent!
ps.oh yes is it actually from the post office?0 -
Becareful of phoning any phone numbers on the card some look like normal numbers and redirect to a premium rate. Phone your local trading standards with the details they may know whether it is a scam.0

Yeah is at the post office, i'm gonna go and ask them if i can see what it is, or at least who its from.
