Please help...........Bank driving me mad!!

Hi,

I am new to this forum, so go easy on me if i am in the wrong forum?

Last June.ish, I went for a consolidation loan with the natwest to cover an exciting loan and a few charges on top. After all this time it is still not sorted out!
I have replied to all their wishes and filled out all their forms. I have always keep in contact with them.
I have filled out many (I do mean MANY) forms and signed them all. The first I heard was that they was waiting for me to send some paperwork back! I contacted them and explained I hadn't recieved any paperwork? the said sorry and sent it again....I checked they had my address right, and....still nothing! After a few more times i got the paperwork, sent it back....nothing:confused:
Then again contact in the form of a letter saying that due to the time the loan was no longer in date and we had to do it again!!!! Nothing........Many Many phone calls later from their call centre I was sent another letter saying I had not signed the form? They said they had included a blank form to sign.............on looking at the form they sent IT WAS THE ORIGINAL WE HAD SENT AND HAD MY PARTNERS AND MY SIGNATURE ON IT!!!!! I phone and told them they said sorry and to send it back, we did and then was told it had run out of date!!!!
Did it again and sent it !!!
Many calls started coming from two call centres asking " what are you going to do about the settlement of the loan"...... HELP. I explained what was going on over the last 4 /5 months.they said they will sort it out. NOTHING.
Sent the last paperwork 2/3 weeks ago for loan number 5?????
In the last 4 days over 14 calls from the call centres (Auto dailing) Told them without loseing it......that this was NOT MY FAULT and natwest was in possession of ALL paperwork and i was waiting for them! Told them to stop calling me as it is now affecting my health and family life....They said sorry and would "kill the dailer" 4X PEOPLE TOLD ME THIS AND STILL I AM BEING CALLED SOMETIMES MOBILE AT THE SAME TIME AS THE LANDLINE 2/3 X A DAY!!!! AND DEMANDING LETTERS EVERY 3RD DAY!!!!!
Today at 10.00 another call, this time the lady was forceful and wouldn't listern to my concerns as to why and what was happening, she said she could see from her screen that what i was saying was ture, but HAD TO INFORM ME THAT NOW THE LOAN WAS NOT ENOUGH TO COVER THE CHARGES AND LATE PAYMENTS ON THE ACCOUNT.....AND WANTED ME TO GO OVER ANOTHER LOAN AGREEMENT WITH HER !!!!
I haven't had time to work out the charges..but this can NOT be right.......can it???
What can i do........i have stated i will be contacting them on Monday, but what can i do about this. I stopped using the Natwest because of their excessive charges and tried to work with them over the loan, but they are causing me stress and more charges?
Any ideas as to what to do?

I think I'd be making a formal complaint about how you've been treated. If you've kept all the correspondance and dates of phone calls etc, it'll be easier to set out the full details in a letter. They have to address complaints within certain timescales, and if you go through the complaints process and still are not satisfied, then you can refer the matter to the Ombudsman.

    Hope it gets sorted out,

I had a very similar problem with Natwest .. althought it was some years ago! Each time I'd hear nothing or they'd say they had sent loan paperwork out - and they hadn't or that I needed to complete new loan paperwork. It did happen about 4 or 5 times as well ... I remember every time I phoned being told something different as well .... I see they haven't changed!!

My solution ... Move banks as quickly as you can!
