Removing bobbles from tshirt

Hi there..I have some t shirts which are work branded ones. They seem good quality (ie. not itchy etc) but after a lot of washing, they have developed like small bobbles on the fabric. They can be removed if you pick them off, but there is loads of them.
I'm not sure of the proper name for these...but is there a way I can get rid of them (other than picking them off individually!!).
Thanks all

I would also recommend using a Bic typre razor. Just draw it gently over the 'rough' area and it will clean it up fantastic. Just don't be too 'aggressive' with it a light touch is all it needs.DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

Thanks for the advice with the razor.
I don't think I'll try it because I might rip the tshirt...and they are work ones. I've got loads but I'd like to keep loads as it saves doing washing for a while!0
