Mortgage & Car Finance

Hi

I have just had an offer through from my building society for a mortgage application. This isn't the first mortgage which i have. How soon can I apply for car finance? And where is best to apply for the finance.

Thanks in advance!

And where is best to apply for the finance. Your bank seems in a generous mood so try them?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi dealer wins

Won't be credit score be knocked down by the Morgage?

The building society's apr is higher than the one recommended on here and i dont think they will lend more. But also I don't want a refusal going on my report.

    Cheers

  • From what you have posted how can we possibly know the answer to your question when you haven't told us a single thing about what you earn compared with existing debts etc.
  • My concern is my report rating as the extra Morgage is put on my report. I was told u should leave 6 months inbetween getting credit. But can't really wait that long for a new car.

Well wait or borrow less than you were wanting to borrow
  • Does anyone else no if it's ok to apply for car finance straight after getting another morgage?

    Thanks

provided the banks agreed the mortgage then i cant see any reason why you would have to wait.

However, you might want to think about being able to pay all this debt your getting into should you lose your job.

We dont worry about trivial things such as that on here.

If you've got a Experian "999" badge on your chest, and the computer says "YEEEEEEES" you borrow now, worry later!!

Depends if you can afford repaying the loan plus the mortgage.

I refer you to reply #4
  • Op, you could rephrase your question:

I've just got one load of debt, how soon can I get another?
