A Post Office Card Account ?

I get my JSA paid in to my post office card account as i do not have any Bank account
If or when i get a job would it be possible to get my wages paid in to the post office account that i get my JSA paid into ?

If you have a bad credit rating that is stopping you getting a bank account you can go to places like Santander to get what they call a Basic Account where you only have a cash point card and no cheque book or debit card.0 -

If i go to Santander to open a Basic Account what do i need to produce like ID . Proof of adress etc etc to open a account and how easy / hard is it to open an account with them ?0 -

I believe that you'll need ID and proof of address for any account, due to Money Laundering Regulations.
It won't be hard, though. Santander can be a bit crazy admin-wise, but the Co-op bank is always recommended for basic bank accounts, and also offers accounts for bankrupts etc. I don't have a basic account through them, but know people who do, and they've always had fast, easy and friendly service.0 -
