Isme - messing up my credit?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.
I recently opened an Isme credit account to get the £30 discount to buy a kobo which made it a great deal.
Their default position was to say the account was open then send me a letter saying I had to call customer services because credit was rejected. When I called customer services the woman said she has no idea why this was put on my account and after many issues with the wrong delivery address and being put on hold for an age the order was put through but the original order still sits on my account with 'credit rejected'.

The kobo is out of stock and I now need a new mobile phone so I placed an order (for a £99 phone, not a gold plated ridiculously expensive phone) this evening and low and behold got the default email of 'credit rejected, please contact customer services'.

I dont owe money on this account and have never actually owed money as they never sent the kobo. In fact I have a credit for the sign up discount on my account and a statement I received from Isme 2 days ago says I have £1500 credit available with no balance to pay.

I want to be very clear and say there is NOTHING wrong with my credit. I am able to get credit cards with a lot of available credit on them which I use and pay off (in the last couple of weeks I have just cleared a large balance again with no defaults or late payments). I also have the highest score possible on Experian and no notes of any problems on my credit rating.

Do these ridiculous comments made by Isme get added to my credit history? And if they are can I make Isme remove this or claim compensation if they fail to do so, as there is no evidence that I have anything but very good credit.

What can I do? And have other people been having the same problem with Isme?

I would welcome any response / advice.

Thanks

  • Hi,

My order was the same, my mobile was typed in wrong and they rejected the order/credit until I called and they explained!!! I wonder if this flagged my credit file.

I ordered a galaxy tab 3 and new laptop on the buy now pay later 12 month plan which is brill until you find out that you have a late payment on your credit file.

Turns out 3.95 postage isn't pay later. No email or call to say hey you owe us 3.95, set-up DD, or pay it now otherwise, instead I find out via my credit file and I'm due to apply for a mortgage. ;-(

Very disappointed that ISME didn't offer or make clear the 3.95 need paid right away so pay attention if you order anything from them and setup a DD to be sure.

Cleared my balance of £800 today and request account to be closed, they can stick there free credit.

Hoping they clear the flag on my credit account as they have the power to request it be removed. fingers crossed.

I appreciate there position having to do it but hey it was 3.95 which could have been carried over or a quick call would have sort it.

They trusted me with 1500 credit then hammer my credit limit for the sake of 3.95.

;-( never ordering by credit ever again.

Hope this helps. Put a call into ISME to try and resolve the credit flag.
