Hi,

I've received a letter from the Co-op to say they are recalling my overdraft, which is fine. I understand that those are the terms I signed up to, however, I cannot pay it all back in one month.

I would like to offer to pay it back £100 a month until its cleared. On the letter it says to call 0844 844 8899. I would rather put this offer in writing, so firstly does anyone know an address I could write to with this offer?

If not, does anyone have an alternative number that is not an 0844? I can't seem to find it on saynoto0870 and since I'm going to have shorten the purse strings I'd rather not be calling an 0844 number.

Thanks
Overdraft: PAID:D
OU Course Fees: PAID:D

Hmm - not hard - top of the page on Google.
The Co-operative Bank p.l.c., P.O. Box 101, 1 Balloon Street, Manchester, M60 4EP. Registered in England and Wales No. 990937.
Withdrawing an overdraft without checking affordability is (I am pretty sure) unfair. They did the same to me and I got it changed without hassle over the phone to a reduction by £100 a month.

Knowing what I know now, I would probably write too. But it was all OK and they honoured it with no problems.

why not just ring and ask for it to be sent in writing to you, if takes too long you will end up with a default
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • Open a new account with an unlinked bank just in case they take the lot and leave you with no money
