This is like Maths GCSE where you get the points for working out but not for the correct answer. You then use this wrong answer in future posts :rotfl::rotfl::T

Well done though, Caz! I knew what you meant!

    (£4 / 3 is £1.33 each not £1.67!) HTH :A

So the basic jist is see what is on 3 for two in Tesco. Buy all 3 in ASDA. For best savings buy 2 of the cheapest item in the Tesco 3 for 2 and then buy the most expensive item at ASDA that is in the Tesco 3 for 2 (doesn't matter what this item costs at Tesco).

This will give maximum glitchy savings :D :money:

:rotfl: I can't be perfect all of the time eh? At least the basic calcs were correct and prove a theory!

Why would you have to buy 2 cheap T items? Nothing suggests you need 2 as proven by the shop containing only one cheapy (the one I typed up wrong lol):

    1 x TRESemm! Colour Protection Colour Revitalising Con... £4.00 £1.34 (£4.69 any 3 FOR 2)
    1 x ASDA Protect Anti Dandruff Shampoo - Normal Hair (... £1.00 £1.33 (£2.00 any 3 FOR 2)
    1 x Head & Shoulders Anti Dandruff 2in1 Shampoo - Clas... £4.98 £1.33 (£4.99 any 3 FOR 2)

    Cheapest £4
    Double & divide by 3 = £1.33/£1.34

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I guess I can't be right either! LOL. I did mean one of the cheap items and two of the dear ones!

By the way, what's your Maths background out of interest (I realise this is basic stuff)?

Cheapest item is doubled and the price divided by three so in the first case, the cheapest item in Ts was the own brand anti-dandruff shampoo at £2. Double that is £4. Divide by 3 is £1.66/£1.67 per item which matches the APG calculations. Same goes for the other 2 shops I checked.

Use the Ts prices to find the cheap items but remember the dear item isn't compared so if it's cheaper in Asda then go for that - I think! My head hurts :rotfl:

So does mine just gone over those figures again and

£4 divide by 3 is £1.33 not £1.66. So makes that one right for the APG. :j

The basics come from secondary level maths (the early years) ;)

The harder stuff comes from an engineering degree :D

Ok so whos going to try two tresseme or head & shoulders plus one alberto balsam and get all for £0.66 each :)

    I'm going to try 2 H & S and 1 alberto laterz. :D

If I get time that is still not done my ironing. :o:o
  • So does that mean you could buy the value/smart price stuff and it would compare to make the APG even better?

♥ Thank You Sweet Elite ♥

Hospital is in Shrewsbury so a bit of a trek. He was insistent that I went home to sort 'home' out.
Ambulance man gave me the contact No. for the unit he was being admitted to.

aarrgghhh - don't like leaving him on his own :o but there is nothing I can do until he rings me. I've topped up his mobile as he usually has 3p credit

My sister's car is being fixed today so hopefully will be sorted if we need to pick him up tonight...fingers crossed

I really hope all is well with him, I dont think I could stay away though, just what Im like.
And Im sure his phone really has 4p in it.
    ((Hugs))
