  • Good Evening peeps :hello:

    Busy day for me, no not all in A's ;):p Had lots of other bits and pieces to do too and docs, precriptions yadda yadda :o

    Had a right good root around A's carpark today for the first time ever (not my teeny weeny local) and out of about 20 odd receipts, I got 6 which gave me £8.50 between them. The highest is £5.32 :eek::jNothing to note on any of them, even the biggie was cheaper at A's, it was just the extra 10% that gave me some dosh ;):D

    I did 2 shops this afternoon, A vs W glitchy comparisons;

    1 x ASDA Cream Cleaner Lemon (500ml) £0.62 £0.54
    1 x Cif Cream Lemon Fresh (500ml) £2.00 £0.53
    1 x Cif Cream White (500ml) £2.00 £0.53
    1 x Steradent Active Plus Original Tablets (30) £1.00 £0.67
    5 x Arm & Hammer Enamel Care Natural Whitening Toothpa... £7.50 £3.33

    and A v T (Shelves were ransacked, no SP gel or cond so had to go with the Asda 44p gel)

    1 x L'Or!al Elvive Nourish & Shimmer Highlights Shampo... £2.00 £0.29
    1 x L'Or!al Elvive Nourish & Shimmer Highlight Nutriti... £2.00 £0.29 (Conditioner)
    1 x Herbal Essences Ignite My Colour Acai Berry & Silk... £1.00 £0.31 (Shampoo)
    1 x Herbal Essences Ignite My Colour Conditioner (200m... £1.00 £0.29
    1 x Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends Split End Protectio... £1.00 £0.29 (Shampoo)
    1 x ASDA Extra Firm Hold Styling Gel (300ml) £0.44 £0.29
    1 x Soft & Gentle Body Responsive Antiperspirant Deodo... £1.00 £0.20

    Nipped in W's armed with the info Laura Cello provided us with a wee while ago ;);) And I got 3 whoopsied tubes of Mentadent, 3 for 2 kicked in so 87p for all 3.

    Had to return a dress to DP's in town and swapped it for a navy jacket for my cousin's wedding in a couple of weeks time. That store don't actually stock it and it's gone OOS online and there was 1 size 6 hanging on an odd rail so I figured it must be fate ;):p:p:p:rotfl: I bought an absolutely stunning dress a couple of years ago by a fabulous designer, Nanette Lepore and I have been waiting for an occasion to wear it ;) The price I paid for the dress was about 20% of the RRP and the shoes are navy satin peep toes that cost a fiver from Primark, also that I haven't wore yet :o so I am thinking, although I paid full price for the jacket, overall it's fairly MSE! Except when I got home I found an email telling me if I print off the voucher, I can have 25% off anything in store this week! :o:o:o Typical!

    Forgot to say a huge thank you to everyone that's mentioned in passing about cashback on insurance. I decided to take the reins and sort the car insurance out myself this year. Been with the same company for 7 years now and they wanted £750 for renewal! :eek: Went with Churchill and got exactly the same policy for £339 plus £50.50 cashback which has tracked :D:T

    I haven't even had a chance to read one post yet today. Has anyone realised that some haircare is 3 for 2 in Waitrose too? It's on individual ranges as opposed to across the board but John Frieda have it, Tresemme have it, L'oreal too. Just a thought with regards to making up the numbers. The only thing I've noted when researching is that some of the sizes vary, for example W's don't stock 200ml HE. Plus there is of course the task of finding a cheap comparable. Food for thought atleast :)

    This is, I'm sure old news but there are several other 3 for 2's in W's too;

    Baby products (wipes, cotton pads etc) ends 11/09
    Robinsons squash (1litre and 1.75litre ;) ) ends 06/11
    Nuts/seeds and dry fruit ends 11/09
    Bin liners ends 11/09
    Cleaning/household products ends 09/10
    A few veg/salad ends 11/09
    Toothpaste/dental ends 04/12 !!!!
    Twinings teabags ends 11/09

    Robinsons is fairly good. I was going to try today but I forgot to check MSM before leaving!

    If it all compares as the others, it would be;
    1 x 1 litre £1.39 vs 93p
    2 x 1.75 litre £5 vs £1.86

    Spend = £6.39 and should be £3.87 back :)

    Hope this message finds you all well and happy this evening :A

    just a tip for those on about either ripping up reciepts or being unsure whether they've already been used...

    when I get my APG reciept back, I screw it up and put it in my bag or pocket....then I fold my new reciept neatly. That way, when I get home or in the car, I can easily see which ones have been used (as theyre all screwed up)...but they're still in good enough condition to use to return a product...or send off to P&G for freebies!! :)
    hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

    SP shampoo doesn't work... the 15p gel does though

    Interesting. I bought Rekorderlig strawberry and lime cider (£2.15 each or 3 bottles for £5) in A. It compared as the full price for three bottles (like the wine) so showed £6.45 in A v £4.50 in T. I got £1.95 back on a £5 spend. Worthwhile if you are buying it anyway.

    The new deal will hopefully work out as 4 bottles in A -costing you £7.15 (£2.15 then 3 bottles for £5) but comparing as £8.60 v £5 in T :think:

    EDIT - just seen it's actually 4 for £5 (i mis-read oops) so my sums have been changed

    Not sure if this has already been said but maybe the best way to go for this one would be to buy 12 if it is on 3 for £5 in As and 4 for £5 in Ts.

    12 @ 3 for £5 = £20 in As

    comparing £2.15 x 12 = £25.80 As to £15 in Ts???

    If this worked and I have no idea whether the As offer is still on tomorrow. It would mean you paid £20 and get £12.30 back (£10.80 + the £1.50 10% diff back). So about 65p a bottle???

    Not got time to look at too much into this and it is only a guess. ;)
  • Omg:eek: I got touted in a nice kinda way but !!!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

    I got the 'never seen one that big' remark, followed by must chk if out, receipt inspection ........you can guess all the I between .......and ended with supervisor putting receipt in Apg to prove I hadn't made it. Good thing I got jf x3 multi save of over £12 so he come bk with the Apg mustn't recognise the multibuy

    The nice kinda way was cos they then asked which jf I got llol

    Ground open....me in....quick run....managed 3 wombles on sprint out :j

    Can you use apg's in Asda Living stores? tia
    djrich1975 wrote: »
    You sure can

    i used one in a living store today on a kettle which i cough cough returned to another store for money onto a gift card much easier to use than a apg, they obviously don't see many apgs as she didn't ask for the receipt, i used the most horrific apg i had for £28:eek::eek: went a bit crazy with a few deos plus hair dyes :(:(

    anyway emergency over

    i passed through l**ds on business today to sort a property i have over there, for any locals the k*ll*ngb*ck superstore has stacks of sp gel and stacks of deo, no troutings on my several ahem vouchers

    many thanks to jumbles or was it purdy :o:o sorry my brains mashed :o:o for the including whoospie tip to pad out the shopping

    can i just warn you that the whoopsies don't count as an item on your shop, they didn't actually appear on my receipt:(

    still have to catch up, and input recepits and unload the car
