    I have 2 bits of good news :j :j

    1) I lost 1 1/2 lbs this week, so that is 10 lbs so far :j

    2) Rang Mr 3Dogs' pension company and they are putting a stop on the cheque which never got to my bank, and, at my request, are processing the payment through BACS. I have to check my account from tomorrow but this means, if no further problems, I can get my new car on Saturday, having put it off for a week when the payment hadn't arrived :D

Well done 3dogs :T so pleased things are looking up for you :)
  • hiya, I have bought the duck discs alpine and lime and they compared for me. hth xx

Thanks wooly:). I left them as the box was smaller than I thought, didn't want to mess up.

SKY, Sorry to quote you Bananababe, but I was wondering if someone could answer my question. I have basic sky, and was thing of getting Sports, but obviously don't want to pay full price, so should I phone up and pretend to leave, or do they not generally reduce Sky Sports price :) TA

Thats exactly it. It depends who you speak to of course. Martin has covered this before in his newsletter and (I worked there for over four years) (Sssshhhhh)

You can say exactly what you said that you feel that you would have stayed if the sports were cheaper and you would have liked to have seen if they were worth it but being on the basic package does not meet your needs.

In the end, if by the end of the call you havent been offered what you would like then just say "ok I'll have a think about it" You dont have to accept anything.

It depends what they have been given at the time to hand out.

When I changed my broadband over to them, six months free broadband, available to all, and got offered six months half price movies and sports. I didnt take it cause was the other week when OH job at risk. I was trying to save money not spend any.

Hope this helps. It doesnt always work but worth a bash in my opinion :)

Also you can mention the price increase thats just happened

    Hi All,

Just been on mysupermarket looking at waitrose cleaning and dental 3 for 2s, I didn't realise that you can add all the ones your interested in (that show as also available at asda) ,then checkout, but choose print shopping list and compare to asda.

It prints a nice side by side comparison,it zeros some prices so not ideal as a price guide but good to take with you as a reminder of what 'should' compare.

Hopefully will stop me having to hang around looking dodgy in the aisles on my phone for ages!

    Hope that helps someone :D

;) This is very true. We wanted Sky Plus but couldn't afford to pay £130 odd for the box etc from Sky.
Fourp rang them to cancel our normal Sky & they asked why? So he 'mentioned' wanting Sky Plus.
:D We got it for a £30 one off payment & no extra on our monthly payment (which is basic)

you know youve been glitching too much when you open your cupboard and get attacked by a tin of tomatoes and 3 packs of batter mix

"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

  • Hi

I used to post in the good old days of dtd, and have just come across this thread which I read through last night....

Decided it would be rude not to join in so went for a shop at Mr A this am.

    Got
    bananas by weight 0.71 / 0.71
    onions by weight 0.21 / 0.24
    baking potatoes by weight 0.69 / 0.82
    1 SP sweetcorn 0.33 / 0.33
    1 Aquafresh Big Teeth toothpaste 1.00 / 0.99
1 Corsodyl Daily defence mouthwash 4.00 / NA
1 Colgate max fresh cool mint toothpaste 1.60 / 2.27
    1 SP hair gel 0.44 /0.10
1 Dove Shampoo Nourishing Oil Care 2.38 /0.10
    1 Dove Conditioner Nourishing Oil care 2.38 / 0.10

So didn't manage a success with toothpaste, but delighted with the shampoo - this is the only shampoo that works really well with my dry frizzy hair - so highly recommend this to others.

Thanks guys on here....and hope you don't mind another newbie coming on board?! Got a second APG too but messed up on that - think I need some coaching from an expert!
