    Just a question re APG.
Are the stores within their right to refuse an APG if it is too high? I have one just over £10 am a bit nervous to use it as there's ALOT of trouts in our local. So it's making me a bit cautious about getting a few more glitches til I know more about their policy on it! As its one step to receive the vouchers but another to actually use it!
Is it a question of querying them if they refuse if they are supposed to accept? Call headquarters? Or leaving it?

Its very hit and miss as some SA query a £7er, where as others will put £15ers through without batting an eyelid.

    Heres a few suggestions

-I would perhaps use it on a larger shop, so Its a 'smaller' proportion of what you are buying, which might help.

-Go through SS, when the SA has to come over, she is more likely to just over ride without querying, as thats basically all they do when they are on SS, and she will need to hurry more as she is keeping her eye on the other SS tills. Also all your stuff is packed away in bags before you have to ask for help, so its less obvious if you are buying similar stuff.

-If they are really reluctant, dont push it, say its OK and ask for it to be returned, (you can always try it another day or in another store)
  • Good Morning one and all. :D

Well I am on my way out but I am going to try the wine glitch later as since I have finished work I have not been buying hardly any as it comes out of my grocery challenge budget.

    So is this correct please:

Vina Albali Smooth Red Tempranillo (750ml) x 3 and 8-10 other smart price items?

Can you mix ketchup with this? I am going to be doing a normal shop. :o so would I be best putting ketchup in that one?

Also if I did the shampoo can I get 2 aussie conditioners with 1 smart price conditioner/gel? I think thats how it works?

3 products are 2 expensive and 1 smart price?

Thank you all for taking the trouble to post I do really appreciate it.

Big hugs and have a nice day.

You CAN mix your shopping but I personally would advise the go in 2/3/4 times approach as a mixed shop gives more potential for being 'spotted' and screwing up your apg:rotfl::rotfl:

The general consensus of opinion is go for smaller shops - more work but keeps you under the radar and less chance of getting trouted:D:D

So you could do your wine shop - buy in 3's and get 8-10 items to fill the shop out.

Your next shop might be hair stuff etc and if you do these right it is possible to get some very nice apgs for your trouble. More sensible imo than doing one huge shop - hth.

Don't forget to let us know how you go on :):)

Well just thought I would quickly catch up in between jobs, dont make me laugh. There is no such thing as a quick catch up on here.:rotfl:
My A is a 20 mile round trip and I went yesterday, so dont think I will go today. Might see whats happening tomorrow.

Just want to say a humungus thanks to the people trying these glitches out. If it wasn't for you I couldn't afford to do them. Just wish there was some way of returning the generosity.:A

Don't go there often now, mostly use Aldi unless I have coupons to use. Might take a trip to Asda today, as long as you have left some of the 'essentials' ;);) for the rest of us:D

  • Thanks 3dogs and silvercar re your replys for my unused cc vouchers, prob ebay them if no one else wants them ;)
Right my understanding on these glitches if some kind person could please confirm. A's vs T's is shampoo, deo, wine , tom sauce, new pots and mince meat. Wine ends today, sauce is 1.5kg £3 in a's, Shampoo is buy sp gel or cond plus 2 or 5 other hair items, deo is s&g purple or peach buy as many as you want? got b/c for pots and mince meat and know the wine deal. A's vs W's i'm not sure on. Dental products but not sure how it works is it the same as the shampoo? and same with the cleaning products? Is that the same too? buy 1 cheapy and 2 or 5 of others?
Sorry for asking soooooo much but is it the 3 4 2 on msm in asda im looking to buy or whats 3 4 2 in w's or t's. I have written down as much as i can from peoples lists just want to check msm myself before i go to a's. TIA will let you know my results later

Looks like you have just about got the hang of it!:T

My only suggestion would be to not get it all in one lot.

The tommy K, shampoo and wine are all tesco comparisons, but three bottles of wine alone produces an APG of £9!

You would get a similar £9ish APG with two expensive shampoos!

Each tommy K can bring almost £3 to the APG depending what else you buy, so no more than 3 in a go (if you want to keep your APG under £10)

If you do your tommy K with your big normal shop, you run the risk of the APG being reduced if you are buying other items on offer though.

Another alternative for your shampoo shop if theres no SP conditioner ot gel is the asda 'essentials' gel, its purple, silver lid and label, 44p (so makes each item 29p)

If you are lucky enough to find wine, tommyk and the shampoo, I would do three smaller shops (with 8+ small comparable items each of course) Then go back for the rest. it will take more time, but you will benefit better this way. I often go with my OH, get a shallow trolley plus a basket inside, and we do two APG shops together, but pay separately. I have also done two on my own like that too, any questions I just say the second basket is shopping Im doin g for my mum and I like to have a separate reciept for her!
