well ill thank you for thanking him:rotfl:
ps bit of a night owl lately raven:)
  • This happened to my BIL, he'd just finished a tour in afghan where a few of his regiment had been killed. He landed in england only to be told his best mate had been killed in a car accident, he came over for the funeral and was due to go back to camp on the Friday but he missed his flight as usual. In a way it was lucky because my DH, his bro, died that night.
He disappeared shortly after the cops had told us they had to wait on the mortuary people to come and pick up DH and it would be best around for us to go to my mums. I had to phone the cop dealing with things to let them know that BIL had taken his dads car and may be a danger to himself.
They found him, crashed in the middle of a field sobbing uncontrolably and asking them just to shoot him  this happened every night until the funeral, his Sargent phoned to check on him and recommended speaking to someone when he arrived back. He had months of treatment, he was confined to base a lot of the time due to his erratic behaviour, he wasn't allowed on the ranges or deal with firearms for a long time. I must admit his Sargent was great with him, keeping an eye out while maintaining a distance.
He's now a lot better but still tends to dwell on things if not kept busy. He's passed all the evaluations to be allowed to do active duty. He's got one tour of afghan to do soon and then he's leaving, i just hope it doesn't open up old wounds.

I hope things go as well as can be expected over the next few weeks and months as he and you begin this journey together just make sure you too get some support. xxx

Aww that is sooo awful to go through all that. My heart goes out to you.

I am so so confused! Just popped into to read the last few pages of the thread as I often do and saw something was going on, so have tried to read back what I can but still am completely lost, too many pages! Am I right in thinking I can't benefit from any of these glitches as I haven't got an Asda anywhere near me? :( (is it there price comparison that is glitching basically?!)

If you don't have an A's near you then I suggest you don't read back as you probably don't want to know what you are missing! :(

Got seriously trouted in my first Mr A visit today, must be close to a year since that happened :(

Manager was called and insisted the only way she would accept the (smallish) voucher was if she was given my personal details.

Mrs Raven was mortified, so shopping was left on the belt - hope they dont just stick those frozen prawns back in the freezer as they were pretty soft by the time we left.

How did you get the code please? I've been searching the O2 site but everything about the disruption in July links to a blank page.....

They have sneakily added it as one of the O2 priority moments so you need to log on to that. It is one of the offers on there. Don't forget your Millie's cookies while you are there. :)

Sorry you had such a terrible day yesterday. If only you could use the words to comfort yourself as you do with others, you would feel great. You brought me to tears but put a smile on my face at the same time. You really are one in a million. Thank you :T
Hope today has been a much better day for you :)

Firstly I'm so sorry for making you cry :o but I'm very glad to have brought a smile to your face:A If I put a smile on someone's face every day then I will take comfort that I am atleast brightening someone's day and it makes me feel better too (so in a way it's very selfish :o:p)

You lot are absolutely wonderful, thank you for your support and all round general loveliness. It really has been such a pleasure being part of this community and how you've taken me under your wing. I am so grateful :Axxxx Thank you for putting up with me! :o:o

ETA: Anyone else watching the 9/11 documentary on channel4+1 (or watched it earlier?) Oh my goodness, kleenex at the ready :(:(:(

And I thought Twitter was shallow. So you say goodmorning and get thanked 30 times??? Maybe having loads of thanks is like having a big ***** to some. MSE should step in here, how can you have over 400 pages in less than 11 days and only 4 share anything worth while. Look outside the window, there is a big wide world out there

    Dont be sad :(

Forget the windows and doors, come on in - there are a lot of friendly folk in here :) But watch for * * * * *
