    £15.00 @ Sainsbury's

The very idea that someone might be paying £15 for fabric softener makes me feel sick

I screamed inside when my friend said she paid £8 for one of those

  • Just in case it is of use to anyone, Elnett 200ml Supreme Hold does not compare - comes up N/A at Tes.

I had a go today at a 1 x SP conditioner and 5 x dearer items shop but messed it up with the Elnett. What I don't understand is, the other hair items I bought were

    1 x Batiste Tropical at £2.97
    1 x Batiste Cherry at £2.97
1 x Herbal Essences Dazzling Shine cond at £1
1 x Herbal Essences Smooth & Soft cond at £1

yet the 3 items that it has shown discounted to 16p are the SP conditioner (as expected), 1 of the Batiste and then 1 of the Herbal Essences :( I would have assumed it would have used the 2 Batiste as they were the dearer items (and they both compared fine)

    Hmmm...

    don't know who's still up..I am. I have had a bad night.
my OH has been admitted to hospital tonight, our local mental health unit. I feel totally lost. we have been struggling for a long time. he was in Iraq last year and was badly injured. he lost 2 of his friends in the same attack. he is okm but did suffer some bad injuries.

he has been struggling for a while and tonight he just lost it. and I couldn't cope any more. He was suicidal and I was, for the first time, really fearful I would lose him. So I called for some help and thankfully it was there. but now I feel really guilty because he's not here. Probably not the place to be posting this. But this thread has been a lifeline to me over the last few weeks and has given me a place to concentrate on something different

Oh Claire, I really feel for you, I have been in a similar situation in the past but whatever happens from here, you did ABSOLUTELY the right thing, he is where he needs to be, he may not thank you for it right now but he will when he looks back and realises how much you helped him.

Mental health units are really good, not like the old psychiatric wards you often see portrayed in a negative light, my mum was in one for a while and it was amazing, sort of a break from your life where you can really concentrate on getting yourself better, and the people in there are only there to help make that happen, it's a really positive thing that you've done xxxxxxxxxxx

  • Sorry all, that was a bit mischievous of me, but hope it raised a smile with some. Just wanted to add my thanks to all that have posted on this thread for the way they have helped me and everyone else. I may do another shampoo run tomorrow but got plenty of everything else so am minded to hang on for the next one. Sorry I haven't found anything yet but at least I have been able to share a few things that didn't work :( Night night all.

    Not nice

Thank you for this find and all your great finds. The pictures really help!!!!
I find using pics help myself if not I have a list the size of my arm with every single detail on it lol. Trying to do a shopping list for Asda, but my computer keeps switching itself off, think it might be the weather bit windy up here just now.
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!
