    Good morning everyone

I have been reading back through all the posts since I posted last night and I want to say to each and everyone of you ( too many to mention individually) who have given me kind and supportive words, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I was a bit of a blubbering wreck last night. I ve had a few hours sleep and stuff and 'pulled myself together'. I've spoken to OH this morning, he sounds very down, which is to be expected I suppose and I will be able to visit him later. Sadly the kids can't get to see him as they are not allowed on the ward he is in ( not totally sure I'd want them to go there anyway).

I think if I'm honest this has been coming for some time. We have been struggling to keep things together for a while. My OH has had some help for his problems but for whatever reason it wasn't enough to stop things getting to this point. At least now he should get the help needs.

Now I have to get on and sort some practical stuff out. I am due back to work next week after 6 weeks off and have no idea how Im going to manage that at the minute. I may need to ask if I can work part time for a while I think. I also have someone visiting later from the mental health crisis team to talk to me, so hopefully that will help me.

I have used this thread lately as a bit of an escape I suppose. You are a bunch of truly lovely people and again, I thank you all for being just who you are.

why do people do that i have friends who are the same, you have an addiction, you are going to get into trouble. Well no i dont i am saving money, then when they come round for tea they are all asking questions about where i bought things and how much they were and why didnt you tell us cant win :(

I have came to the conclusion not to tell any of them and look after my own family (the ones that appreciate it ) :)

I had some friends tell me that they think I am a loony (I think it was meant nicely!) but when I said that my lunacy was the first time I had not touched my overdraft in years and the reason why I had X amount of £'s in my bank the day before payday, they soon shut up! I like to keep 'em dangling so every now and again I will go round with something like the tommy k for them, and they pay what I paid for it. I feel awful taking the money but it's the principal :)

Oh i cant imagine how difficult it must be .......I read your post about watching TV with your DS and how your thoughts were with your DH....my heart ached for you xxx Hope the sorting is being taken very slowly .....and that eventually the blubbering might be replaced by the occassional smile.

thanks again for all your kindness on this thread- truly inspirational

.... we have some AMAZING people on here- a priviledge to be part of this thread :D

    Hear hear :T

    Morning all

Just wondering if anyone has bought cheaper shampoos ? I know the idea is you are getting a £5 shampoo for 10p but I was thinking abt getting the Loreal kids shampoo which is 2 for £3 in A and on the 3 for 2 in T.

If I got 2 kids plus sp gel do you think it would work ?

    Any help much appreciated.

Also any good deals on cheap cranes so my little ones can lift the giant tommy k :) lol

  • Good morning Elite. Happy glitching this fine Sunday morning. I won't be going anywhere for a while owing to the amount of Vina Abali in my blood stream from last night's birthday celebrations. I'll see you again when I've worked my way through the pile of washing up I couldn't face last night.

Washing up done, and DH says he will take me to Asda. Today is shaping up quite well. :D
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in. :D

Use this thread as much as you like, want or need to

Take each day as it comes

In the meantime, while you are being strong for him and your kids, you need to make sure that someone is being strong for you too x

Hope things get better for both of you.

I can sympathise where you are coming from work wise, I had never ever had time off from my present job of 5 years and then when my mum got ill and passed away earlier in the year I had almost 3 months off. I felt torn between grieving, looking after my hubby and daughter and work - all you can do is what you can do. I hope your work place is sympathetic mine were great.

    In my prayers.
