I'm sick of all these non-existent Tesco and Asda deals. Waste of petrol IMO.

Exactly what I was wondering...seems to be the case with the wine so far up until the T deal ends 4th Sept ;)

OK, I'm going to take this one.

Shortly but succinctly, for future reference the best approach when you meet a group of new people is to smile politely, sit down nicely and LISTEN a little bit before you start inflicting the benefit of your wisdom on others. You have failed signally on every count, and have come blasting in here (like several others, you are not on you own) like you were the thing we were all missing all this time. So no.

You have absolutely no idea why people are posting as they currently are, no idea of the history of this thread and you clearly have absolutely no idea how extraordinarily welcoming this thread is to others under normal circumstances. We are a very broad church, a very mixed group and the genuine care that people have for others on this thread is frankly extraordinary.

"I noted aau1 asking and several have said hello and gone to catch up. All seems a bit pointless."

This isn't "a bit pointless"., it is an integral part of the whole ethos of this thread. Most of us here get it. You clearly don't. So may I suggest you find a thread on MSE or elsewhere which better fits your ideas and aspirations.

(Sorry FK, I know he's a friend of yours, but enough is enough x)

I wasn't going to reply to this but as I have been completely misunderstood and wish to participate I feel I deserve a brief response.

What I was saying was pointless, was the deleting of posts. If anyone reads my original post that was what it was all about. I used the example of aau1 as they are a regular and came here to catch up and found deleted posts. How self defeating is that? I was NOT saying that saying hello and saying you are going to read back was pointless, but it is easy to take a quote out of context and twist it to mean something else.

I have read hundreds of posts before posting, and whilst I will never be a chatty 'how de do' person (basically because I work long hours most days and can't keep up and don't have time for online chit chat) I think its really nice that this happens here and many get comfort from each other.

I am here to try and help where I can (and I have answered questions here in the last few days) and post my shops and what works and what doesn't. To be told to 'go away' after what I posted is really nasty. I see others saying 'well said' and 'great post' - yeah really nice community spirit :(

However I have had some lovely PM's and chats with some regulars on here. It is an open board and I am staying. As I said several times I wish nobody any harm but I too will speak my mind and if this is the lovely community you say it is then I am sure I will enjoy my visits.

Thank you for your patience reading my reply, I do come in peace. I hope for some more patience and inclusiveness on this thread.

PS I think the word 'Elite' is a bit exclusive for a caring inclusive community, just my opinion. I guess the problem here is some do think they are elite, but I don't think that sums up most on the thread who seem to be genuinely nice caring sharing people. Great to see.
If I had a pound for every pound I'd lost, I'd be confused

The Frizz-ease normal serum, extra strength serum & heat protection spray all worked for me this morning (in 2 separate shops) I got the last 24p con with the 1st shop and the alberto balsam con with the 2nd shop.

Someone has emptied my local of all the sp cond and it doesn't look like they sell the 15p gel but I had secreted 2 sp conds earlier so all was well.

I have done 2 shops shampoo, ketchup etc, and added the soft and gentle deo and garlic baguettes to see if they are glitching.

I will put up results when they come in.

    @Chris E - top response :) Measured.

Agree also about Elite, you are not alone re connotations for this word Has been raised before and we managed to lose it from a couple of thread titles for a while but it crept back. I uusually refer to 11+ or 11+ers as a way of circling around it :)

    Welcome to the thread.
  • I know i done two, can anyone point me in the direction so i can delete that one to.

all gone now, just a little note i helped start the 1p find which was helpful, i thought i was doing the same thing here, but not the case.
  • Hi all

Seem to have missed a couple of threads due to the fact I am now a divorced lady!

I did start with this one (fab name!) with the intention of keeping up , but no chance!

I did however pop to Asda earlier and picked myself up a couple of head and shoulders with the Alberto balsam shampoo, which worked perfectly so thank you thank you thank you to the very patient people who worked that one out.

Also although I haven't been around much recently, I hav always tried to keep up with the regulars and if I do ever find a glitch I post it - usually it has already been said 20 pages before, but I try!

Anyway point is, thanks to all of you for your input in making this thread so helpful, friendly and welcoming - and as for the nasties trying to ruin it - b**ger off back to where you came from!

    Happy shopping everyone xxx
