changing people on mortgage and deeds

hello, can anyone advise me on the rough costs of taking 1 person off a joint mortgage and replacing them with someone ( getting rid of old housemate and replacing with girlfriend). obviosuly i need to start a new mortgage with the bank but just wondering the estimated cost or what i will need through the solicitor side to change the names

You dont need to start a new mortgage.
Call up your lender and ask them how much it would cost to do a Transfer or Equity (ToE). They will probably have some sort of admin fee.... £100 or so.
You then need to get a solicitor on the case, i read here the other day they cost a couple of grand, im of the opinion its closer to £300 but im not the most experienced of advisors on here. thats great cheers had a quote of 1059 for myself and girldfriend with everything done from remorgage fees to toe.
