Hi all... some advice please! I had my hair coloured a couple of weeks ago...full head of foils in two "colours"... blondey-ish and brown-ish (lol) but this time (due to time restraints, i went in just wanting a cut then decided to have colour lol so no time to use "lightener, just the colours)... i used (years ago when i had very bleachy blond, using lightener etc at the hairdressers) a product that used to really bring out the blond highlights.. it wasnt a shampoo, but more of a once a week type product?? Maybe even in a sachet...? Can anyone suggest anything...i currently am using herbal essences shampoo and conditioner to try and help keep the colours but its not particularly great.. If no ideas, perhaps something which enhances any blonde highlights etc and adds a bit more colour?
Oh help, i cant explain lol!!

Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

Not sure about the tap water
but never go swimming as cant breathe around chlorine
Just to clarify, there is nothing wrong with my colour/hair particularly, i just want a product to enhance the blonde streaks and/or add some more natural blonde

The thing is you can't add blonde because that is lightening your hair. What you can do is use a product that tones down any brassiness, so usually adds a slightly ashy tone OR a product that removes any deposits from tap water, swimming or product build up that might dull the blonde you have. So trying to work out which type of enhancement you want/ need.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Just look for shampoos with a little colour in them. I can't name any sold in Boots and etc because I've just stuck with regular shampoo and condititioners for the past few years but if you are looking for really expensive types, Bumble & Bumble and Aveda have colour depositing shampoo and condtioners.
I *think* that you can still buy wash in wash out sachets in some stores and also Superdrug sell smaller tubes of wash in wash outs which you can probably get away with once a week.
If your hair is not dyed, you could try using products with a small amount of henna in them mixed in with your shampoo and let it sit for a few minutes each wash (just make sure you pick up the right colour!) Lush and various health stores sell henna.0 -
I was going to suggest shampoos designed specifically for coloured hair too. I use the Aveda one for red hair as there are few sold in Boots for red hair and my scalp is very sensitive so I tend to go for natural brands that irritate it less, but there are lots of ranges for blonde hair that you can buy in boots, think the most extensive is John Frieda's Sheer Blonde
