Where can I find a good ALL OF MARKET mortgage broker?

This is in relation to another thread I started last week (Mortgage after Default).

After some advice im now seeking an all of market broker but not sure where to start; all of the local brokers are tied to banks or high street lenders and/or part of an estate agency.

Is there some kind of directory whereby I can find a good broker in my local area?

As with all trades, a personal recommendation from someone you know is best.
I'd ask friends, family, work colleagues etc if they have used anyone decent in your area.

Your best source is referrals from friends/family etc, there are numerous on-line directories, but as these are all "opt-in"/pay listings there is no checkin done of the advisors listed.

If you are really stuck, tell us where in the country you are, and maybe some body can recommend one for you - again check them out yourself, don't take any endorsement neccesarily as truth!

I am in the UK, Hertfordshire.

If anyone can recommend that would be great; will do the necessary checks aswell.

I think Dunston and Dave Ham on here are from that way? Theyre both very active on these forums and give a lot of good advice.

I cant recommend them as such but they may be able to help.
