Hi all,
Just have a quick question on switching to a new deal with a new lender. I am currently in SVR and looking to move to a new deal with a new lender. Is my existing lender likely to charge me to move the account to a new lender?
Cheers,
Jonathan

If you are on SVR then unless you took a deal with what are called extended early repayment charges then you should not have to pay an early repayment charge. You will probably have to pay about £150 or so to close your mortgage down. The lenders have a variety of names for it.
Before you look at new lenders it is worth calling your existing lender and seeing what they will offer you. Sometimes they do offer decent rates to existing clients.0
