Conditional Offer - how does this impact JSA?

Hello all
To my delight and surprise, I was offered a position today (conditional offer) after being without a job for a long time, providing I pass the CRB and checks. I'm guessing this can take up to a month for this, and it just a CRB, I don't believe it is a ECRB. Now, because I'm on JSA, I'm curious how this will impact JSA and what I'm expected to do. My background is clean, so there will be no issues with the CRB, and I wondered will I still be expected to apply for jobs, when I have a conditional offer? I know you stay on JSA, until you start the first day of your job, but I'm unsure on what I need to do during this period. It is a job within a district council, and I know it might be quite a while before I would be due to start (6 weeks possibly). So I will be expected to apply for jobs during this time, or only until I receive a confirmed offer/contract?
How have other people found JSA, whilst waiting for an offer to go through checks and be finalised?
Thanks
