Paying off my loan

Hello,

I have a loan with the Halifax,i have defaulted on the £200 a month payments as i can't afford that anymore.Can i pay them back a more suitable payment that i can afford? Can they make me bankrupt even if i offer them a token payment?

    you need to contact the collections department to ask to make an arrangement with them

    you approaching them is better than them contacting by ringing you for payment

    Hi i don't think they can force you to go bankrupt if you've missed a few payments. Phone CCCS or CAB for advice as they may be able to negociate with halifax for you. Post on Debt free wannabee as people on there may be able to give you some advice. Hope everything goes ok.
