credit score

Evening guys

wondering if you can give any advice.

after going through a divorce and getting stuck with all of the joint credit as I was the main bread winner I was finding it hard to get by. On most of the loans and cards I had at the time I missed a few payments but all are clear now and have been for the past year. On all the loans and cards I had miss payments on they had sold me PPI which I have received back.

The big thing now though is my credit score it's about 0. just wondering what I can do about it as its all the firms that miss sold me PPI and stole off me that have given me this score so is there anything I can do?

come on dont exaggerate they didnt steel from you!

if you feel the ppi and increased payments led to arrears you need to write to them and tell them. as part of the FSA disp rules they are meant to look at the customer impact, if you can evidence it you may have a point. if you already had arrears when you took out the ppi then you have no argument.
  • I read in another post in this forum which says: Quote "the CAB said that mis-selling is technically fraud by false misrepresentation (section 2 of Fraud Act 2006) and any premiums paid are technically classed as stolen property." Unquote. I quite agree with that statement.

no its not, if it were stealing it would be a legal issue, as its not its just a regulatory issue.

Your credit 'score' (which is meaningless) has nothing to do with PPI, and everything to do with how you manage/managed your finances.

The term 'professional victim' comes to mind.
