Yep, exactly like that. You apply them to your Amazon account and use the money as and when you want. If you want to spend £2 of a £5 voucher for example, the remaining £3 stays there until you make another purchase and deducts it from your total spend next time. They have an expiry date but it tends to be a couple of years off and it tells you on Amazon how long you have remaining if you ever need to check :money:

Does Amazon use the ones which are due to expire or ones with a later date - can I specify? (I have accumulated quite a few but not spent any yet!)

It does seem to use the oldest first. Never had any expire on me. The latest i've added have an expiry of Dec 2015
