Thank you just went to claim my pig usb, the man said i was the 5th person to turn up today asking for random things all of which they didnt sell. However he did offer me an alternative so I now have a koala instead

Hi guys, just back from local Staples in Torquay.
Went to claim USP pig and was told it is last years item, not from this year competition and was pretty much treated like liar:mad:

They said they haven't got those pig or the back to school pencils, that those were from last year.
Said I need to bring email to which I replied there are no emails sent, only if you win Alton Towers.
They gave me number for customer support.
Not impressed and annoyed how they treated me.
I mean come on do they really think I was year sitting on the voucher and counting down the days so I can do and try to claim it? :mad:

Print out the T&C:

"8 The Promotion will run from 00.01 hours on 10 August 2012 to 23.59 hours on 14 October 2012.

9 The closing date for redemption of the voucher for the Omnitech 4GB USB, Staples eco bag, bundle of Staples school products and the Staples pencil case which you win in the Promotion is midnight on 21 October 2012."

I entered 3 times and won pig memory sticks.
I went to Staples with my two kids and asked at the till but the assistant didn't know about them.
I spoke with a manager who was very helpful and took us over to the back to school section but there weren't any there, so he went back to the stock room and came out with three; he put them through in separate transactions.

Aylesbury store didn't have the pigs either, nearest store that had them in stock was Hemel Hempstead - wasn't planning on driving there. Didn't get offered an alternative as it 'was last years promotion'

Glad I'm not the only one who had problems trying to redeem.

I've given up.

It's low quality for everyone. Poor promotion, coupons are of low quality, and the Staples stores do not even know about them, and do not stock the rewards. It makes all the experience frustrating. I suppose that was not the purpose of that promotion to annoy us - that was not what they wanted to achieve.
