Router is dg834n. Was working fine earlier but now can't connect to wireless network. It sees the network though.
No MAC filtering
Key is correct
Channel normally set to auto but have tried changing and pc still won't connect although my pda was connecting on different channels.
Tried rebooting router and pc many times and ethernet connected pc is fine.
Any suggestions?

Does it say connected in the windows wireless network connection status?
Have you tried deleting the connection, and re-entering the key (I know you said it is ok, but it may have got it's knickers in a twist).
Are you using windows to manage the wireless? Is it set to automatically connect, and not connect to non-infrastructure networks?

Have you scanned for other networks that may have popped up on the same channel, using netstumbler etc?Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
Had tried all of the above (usually use netgears own smart wizard but had tried ms zero as well). I've managed to find a channel it works on. There must be so many networks now. How dare they, don't they know my internet connection is the most important!!

they can interfere upto 5 channels away, so pick something well away from the nearest ones if you can, or move to the country!Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

:T probably my best bet, have already detected at least four other wireless networks with one I'd never seen before today."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

if its a laptop? then make sure the internet function key is active.
i see this problem all the time now.

As you've had it running this probably won't help but, I've got a dg834n, I initially gave it a 63 random printable ASCII characters wpa from https://www.grc.com/passwords.htm and it wouldn't connect, I changed it to alpha numerics and it runs like a dream.0

It's not a laptop (desktop with wn311 pci adapter), it was working earlier and it is again now I've switched channels so it must be interference."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Key was always alphanumerics and it wasn't just my pc, was also my pda and also the wireless networked printer could no longer connect. As soon as I changed channels printer started printing from spool."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Crox, the keys generated at grc sometimes include quotation marks, which the router doesn't like, when you regenerate one without, it should workEver get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

On the very first attempt to connect, have you selected unencrypted mode? Twice in my recent experience in different households I fould that I just could not get a connection to work even though the same key was entered on both sides, wireless router and PC's wireless lan adaptor. Once a connection was established I switched back to encrypted mode and it connected and OK ever since.0
