How long before your first win?

Options
Hi there,

I am new to this comping malarkey & have only been doing it a couple of weeks. I was just wondering how long it took people before their first win, and if they can remember what it was.

I would be happy with a tin of baked beans, just want to win something!
A massive thank you to everyone who posts. It really is appreciated. :j

It took about a month for my first actual win, but it was a good 'un! If you want a tin of baked beans go to the Heinz FB page. They have a free coupon on there :rotfl:

I had started comping using another website in late March/early April. I won an instant win on facebook with Krave, which was 8 boxes of Krave cereal. I gave up comping for a while then started again on this website at the end of June. On 27 June I won a lollipop (still not received). On 9 July I won a box of Redbush tea with Tetley (again, instant win on facebook).

I won a couple of big things this month (an iPad 2 on 7 August and an XFX Goody Bag worth up to £500) but have yet to receive either!

It does seem to take a long while (about a month!) to even receive the prize.

    Good luck!

gosh, was that long ago it's hard to remember :D
before joining here was on various other comp sites & doing mag ef's/text comps/ snail mail comps etc, so was winning then,

but if you're talking about just the first win from MSE comp boards here, i was lurking on here for a couple of years before finally joining up, did have a few wins but as wasn't a member properly didn't post them, if my memory serves me correct it was about 2 months after i'd joined up so's i could post comps/join in properly etc i had my first official win on here where i could post in the IWIW to thank the op :D

I remember it well. It was probably about a month after I started comping last year and it was a Bosch power wine opener thing. I was soooo thrilled, and still get thrilled over every win, small or large. Hope you get to experience that very soon :)

  • I won a box of personalised chocolates (I picked to have a picture of me and DH on them) from a blog after just 2 weeks of entering comps. It spurred me on because I love chocolate :D

May you all have lots of luck, Emma xx
  • I won a credit for one song off itunes. There wasn't a long expiry date on it and as there was nothing I wanted, DH downloaded a song for him. I had been comping a month or so for that, but back then was before I found MSE so was only entering 12 or so a day. There were 5000 winners altogether on the itunes comp.

Since joining here Ive had much better luck with comping and August I have done quite well. I have won 9 in August alone which is more than all the rest added together, but then again Im averaging about 80 comps a day ATM.

I'd say about a week. It was a blu-ray player way back in Decmeber last year. Ive been comping on/off and just started full time again.

Little wins every month and it's been great. I enter about 120-150 a day :) xxx

I think it took me a couple of weeks before my first win and it was either a coin purse or two boxes of Cadbury Creme Eggs. I can't remember.:rotfl:

My first MSE-related was a Dora the Explorer sparkle fairy which arrived shortly after Christmas. It took about four months.

To my win I still haven't 'won' because I haven't won what I really really want which is an iPhone or some serious cash, lol.

Nevertheless I enjoy all the little wins that come my way and I hope they're leading to something big.

Good luck to you and to everyone else
