Suitcase/luggage - up to 25kg?

Hi,
I'm looking to buy a couple of suitcases for our travels (we usually borrow from family which isn't ideal) and notice almost every flight we go on we have roughly 25kg luggage allowance... roughly how many litres would we need for that? I know it's impossile to say for sure, but they seem to range from 40L up to 100L.
Also, could anyone please recommend one that's cheap but also good quality? We want one that'll last and will protect our belongings, so don't mind paying a little extra for decent ones.
Thanks

For 25kg, medium size would be about right. I remember last time I fill up my medium size suitcase, and it came about 26kg
I have Tripp superlite, but they are not particularly cheap.
And can't really comment about its durability, as I only use it twice a year.0 -
Saw some suitcases in TKMaxx today - the cabin bag which is what I was looking at was about £30 - claimed to be the lightest trolley bag available - lovely quality and only weighed 2.5 kg. I would think the next size up would be in the region of £45-£50 with commensurate increase in weight. Worth checking there if you have TKM near you0

Brilliant, thank you guys! Seems to be around 50L then... TKMaxx sounds perfect but there's not a single one near here0

no1brands4you.com have some good deals on zframe suitcases at the moment and include free p&p - definitely worth a look0
