Help - Missold Bed By Mfi!

After saving money and clubcard vouchers for ages I finally ordered my super kingsized bed from MFI. (£1000!!)

I ordered a Rest Assured bed and chose to have 2 drawers underneath rather than 4 as that is more expensive. The drawing of the bed shows 1 drawer on each side. The bed has come today and one side has 2 drawers the other has none!! This is useless to us as we have inbuilt units so would not be able to use the draw at the head end of the bed.

I have rung Rest assured and they have told me they do not make a bed with one draw per side. I need to contact MFI as my contract is with them and if they have sold me something telling me it was different then its up to them.

I have rung MFI and the lady that sold me the bed is not there today so she will ring me tomorrow.

Where do I stand? I still want that bed, am I entitled to send back the side with no draws and have it replaced with a 2 drawer? That would give me 4 drawers in total but its their problem not mine!!

HELP!
I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!

I'm only guessing, but if you were told you'd have a draw on each side and or it's on paper too then surely they have a legal obligation to correct it.

Maybe give them a chance to resolve your query before going off on one?!

Some ammo would be useful in the meantime incase they try fobbing off tactics.

  • I rang customer services who rang the store I bought the bed from and they told me the lady who sold me the bed wont be in till tomorrow.

The reason I was lead to believe the bed would have drawers on each side it that there was a diagram of drawer options.

I was also never told "However on this particular bed the drawer loactions will be different."

They are going to ring me in the morning and will 'sleep' on the situation!!:rotfl:

Or rather on the floor as my old bed has gone!:T
