Hi
This year I will be too heavily pregnant to plan a party (and too skint) but I really want to make it fun.
I want to put a few decorations around the living room and make some food and drink for the 2 of us and carve a pumpkin.
I have found 4 DVD's on Amazon which I have researched and hope to buy them with my survey rewards money in a few weeks.
What else can I do to make it a bit more exciting?
Any suggestions on food and drink?
We never get any trick or treaters here either.

I was thinking cherryade for me (i am a big kid!) and guiness as a real treat for hubby its black lol that was the justification for it (its his fave but usually only allowed value lager lol).
I have been googling things to make food wise but i just dont seem to have come across anything that really hits the spot :S
Happy 16th to your daughter!!
I have every intention of painting my pregnant belly into a pumpkin if i can find face paint cheap enough :rotfl:Everything is always better after a cup of tea0 -
You can make some amazing fingers out of marzipan- add some pink food colouring, or green if you'd prefer 'witch fingers', add some red for blood and put an almond on for a nail.
You could also make some cocktails/mocktails in green and orange as Hallowe'en colours? Maybe some jellies as well as they're cheap to do. I used to do vodka shot jellies but you can of course not put vodka in and have them as mini jelly desserts instead. I like the idea of putting plastic creepy crawlies inside but that's probably asking people to choke!
I was quite lazy last year if I'm honest- I basically just had Hallowe'en themed haribo and Kipling cakes and whatever cheap sweeties were available at the time!
At my party I played creepy music in the background, with creepy films playing in the background (muted) and party games we made up ourselves. We drew a big grid on the floor with coloured tape to make it look like a game board. We wrote actions on bits of papers and distributed them amongst the squares, and players used a random object as their playing piece. We had a huge dice made out of paper mache but obviously any old dice would do.
I encouraged dressing up and got a really cheap medal made up for the most creative costume too. Considering the price it was excellent, as they printed my own wording and image on it and the quality was great.
Hope this helps some!0 -

Halloween is my favourite time of the year
We always have a Halloween party for the kids. Why don't you get some green jelly and some Haribo creepy crawly sweets and put them in the jelly. Also you could make sticky apples, and blood is easy to make, just golden syrup and food dye, so maybe some blood to use as a dip and to dip things in. There is soooo many thing you can make and it is a lot of fun
