Afternoon from a very hot and huffy me - car boot was more or less a complete waste of time, heaving with sellers and buyers who seemed very shy of parting with their cash today - turned their noses up and things like Calvin Klein t-shirt, brand new and still tagged...apparently £3 was asking too much  frankly I'd rather take it home and use it to clean the windows then. Similarly with a summer dress from Per Una, £40 tagged - £5 too much. Honestly, people don't think of the time it takes sellers to box everything up, set it up to sell, pack up and put away - never mind spendin the best part of a day in a dusty field - ARGH. Made £21 after entrance fee and float deduction. Better than a kick in the wotsit but not worth all the time it spend in prep. Everyone around was saying the same thing too.
Going to have a sort through, re-pack, get rid of some stuff and hopefully my friend will do the next one with me so at least I'll have some company.
Forgot to put on sun cream before I went too - thank goodness I don't burn easily or I'd be cooked - got a lovely watch mark thoughFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Had a spendy day today as needed some groceries, and then bought some bits and bobs to send out to hubby, this is going to get expensive, especially as he wants a parcel every week for 7 months.
Also have a spendy week coming up, out for tea tomorrow, getting my nails done on Tuesday and my hair on Thursday. Although all planned and budgeted for, which i am happy about.
So aiming for a NS Wednesday and Friday this week. Thankfully it's still only the 9th.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -

Last one I went to was like that Kerri - people were coming in the last hour and offering 50p for new stuff  ended up bringing a lot home and gave most of it to the charity shop - would rather they got a few quid for their cause than someone took it to try to sell on e*bay

I'm not sure some of the goons today would even know e*bay if they fell over it, and what is it about certain types of men who always ask the prices of women's shoes  I was suprised a paddling pool I took didn't sell - really was an off day. Still, i guess I'd be happy if I found £20 in the street so shouldn't grumble (though finding it would be a lot less work)
Am going to fleabay a few bits tonight, rest going back in the loft for another day and few bits sorted for charity / freecycle.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Hello NSDers!
Please count me in! I need to sort my discretionary spending out...when it comes to buying lunches out, I'm TERRIBLE!
As a result, I've made a loaf of tasty brown bread this afternoon and I'm planning to take lunch to work for every remaining workday of the month. (This may pose a problem on the office ritual curry'n'chips Fridays). This means that there are 15 days for me to get through before the end of the month, which is a lot for a first attempt, but I'm better to aim high and fail on a few than aim low and lull myself into a false sense of security!
Also, no buying chocolate, soft drinks and other nonsense...my spending on that is outrageous, too! Please call me 'Pickle'
No More Buying Books: ???
No More Buying DVDs: ???
NMB Toiletries ??? and I've gone back for my Masters at the University of Use Ups!
Proud to be dealing with her debts 1198~

NSD 2for me please! Spent most of the day doing laundry and cooking a roast dinner with the first box of Mrs Crimble's stuffing I've managed to track down in 2 months... yum!! The only thing my debit card got used for today was a new DVD player for my daughter's birthday from my mum who is terrified that if she buys online the HACKERSSSSSS will immediately empty her bank account of all funds. She paid me back though. By online bank transfer :rotfl:
Also paid my first ever ebay fees of £10.65, having made a grand total of £106.54!!!!!!! :j:j:j (Minus the boots that I sold on behalf of my daughter, and the bag that we paid half for so we're going halves on the proceeds) Still, I made profit today.
Kerri, I know exactly what you mean, it's why I never do boot sales anymore (that and I don't own a carbut I used to to own one, and one boot sale was enough for me!) Apart from the stingy gits that wouldn't pay 50p for tap shoes that cost me £15 a pair, and the peculiar amount of people who offered to buy my CAR, I had a lot of racist vile foulmouthed bigots who swore at me and gave me abuse as we were raising money for the Tsunami relief fund. I won't even dignify this forum with repeating some of the comments I was getting. Ebay is much nicer, even with paypal's yuckiness!

Good evening folks,
Had a very productive day, making soup, olive bread, 2 types of cookies and just had an excellent dinner (I am normally modest:o). Also went to the gym and visited my parents. I am declaring NSDs 5 & 6 for yesterday and today please:beer:
Kerri, from my very limited experience of carboot sales, people want everything for nothing and I got quite annoyed at times with the attitudes. We were selling cd albums for £1 and some numpty asked if I'd take 50p. I didn't show him I was annoyed, but laughed and simply said no I wouldn't and I agree with bringing things home before virtually giving them away;).
That's my mini rant over for the day:o.
I hope everyone has had a good weekend and stayed dry, as we had torrential rain for a while in NI earlier:eek:If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.
£2 savings jar £300:D
Total credit card debts £1250:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: - Will I ever learn!!0
