Where can I find a reputable IFA?

I have had some bad experience in the past with a large company and so am a bit wary when it comes to Financial Advisors.
At the moment, I do not have a private pension plan and am currently contracted out of SERPS. I could really do with some advice on setting up a pension and whether contracting out of SERPS is the best thing for me. I am just unsure of how to find someone who is advising in my best interests.

Get an "independent" IFA (not a salesforce) and avoid all tied agents. Most advisers will do the job fine but by avoiding the salesforces, you improve your odds.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

This seems unlikely. If you are contracted out of SERPS then the rebate money must be going into a pension somewhere.Perhaps you have an old personal pension you have forgotten about?
Contact these people to find out where your contracted out rebate money is going:
