Hi all, I recently for the first time (!) went and did a shop at my local Morrisons, and was pretty impressed with the range they had. But was wondering if anyone had any views on them? IE do you find them cheap? - usually shop in asda/tesco, and good buys I should look out for in there?
Any views appreciated

Hi nickinoodle,
As this is more of a shopping than an Old Style thread I'll move it over to the Shop but Don't drop board where you should get more replies.

i think morrisons is slightly dearer than other shops ie asda /tesco but i get most of my shopping in there mainly for the bogofs;) they usually have loads on:beer: so it works out cheaper in the end0

Yeah i agree, they have loads of offers on constantly. I have really gone off Tescos, and not used them for ages. Morrisons is far better.0

Hi there
I have a tescos within walking distance so get most of my stuff there for the convenience but once every 2 or 3 weeks go to Morrisons as they have a better range and lots of offers.
In particular I like the sandwich fillers, really good range and a lot cheaper than asda and tesco for the chicken based ones. They have a chicken mayo and sweetcorn for 89p ish and a chicken mayo and bacon for 1.09. Both make 2 decent sandwiches. If you buy any 2 fillers you get 20p off. They also have a similar offer on the fresh soups.
The only thing I avoid is the mince which I have found goes off quicker than elsewhere (unless I've just been unlucky). Have also got a friend who reckons the veg doesn't last as long but can't say I've ever noticed.
They do seem to have a few 'different' things that I haven't seen elsewhere (although my tescos isn't the biggest and I don't get to Asda vvery often) they have their own mustard flavoured mayonnaise which is gorgeous, and a lemon mayo too.0 -
I live a few minutes between the 3 .. tesco..asda ..morrisons ,, so i shop between all of them .. but morrisons wins hands down for the BOGOF'S"Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone, and do not be troubled about the future, for it has yet to come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering"0

Oh, and they do the best pies on their fresh pie counter (The Pie Shop)
I also aggree they have the best BOGOFS too, shame that its 15 miles to my nearest and they dont do online shopping.0 -
Morrisons is quite good, but I live next door to Tesco, so shop there most, as well as Iceland.
Somerfield is the supermarket to avoid.0 -
Morrisons are one of the cheapest in my home town but we dont have Asda. Morrisons have other recent months gone down and when I do go to Asda I actually now think they are better value. I dont like Morriosn own brand stuff, its most of it is cheap and nasty, I tried Asda, Tescos and Sainsburys own brand and are much better0
