Please can I join in for £1 a day please.

Last month was the first month I did this challenge and smashed my target through at last selling our car for £650. I also made £5.83 from vouchers from Sainsbury's. I find this thread keeps me motivated to try sell what I can and save as much as possible.

Today I have earnt a £1 through buying tea which was reduced to a £1 and then having a 50 pence off voucher which the cashier scanned twice so got the tea for free.

    Good luck to you all.
No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23

Not a great start, nothing made, only spent. To be fair, it was cheap reduced stocking fillers for the children so saved me money in the long run!

Well I've had a little bit of a clear out of the DVD and CD drawers and hopefully will have £20 towards my £5 a day for September I've also got myself signed up for a couple of nearly new sales to shift some post babies bits and get my house in order. Also I've set my son a type of pocket money reward system so that i do not keep buying little bits and bobs and magazines for him when he nags he will now have to earn it and pay for it!

I still haven't decided on my target yet! :o

Think I'll go for my usual £10, rather than playing it safer after such an awful August total. No harm in aiming higher hey :)

Off the starting blocks today with £5.50 for selling some baby clothes on Facebook. Should have had another £40 to add to that as someone wanted the huge bundle of 1 size that I'm selling, but she's now not replying to any messages, and appears to have blocked me, as I use a separate page for selling, and i can see her on my normal one but not selling one. Really annoyed as there was other people interested in some bits who have now already bought enough from other people etc. And just as it's so rude - I asked her in one message if she could just let me know either way, as it's fair enough if she'd changed her mind, but just bloomin' tell me that.

Hopefully though it might work in my favour - I know I was selling things far cheaper for the convenience of having someone take them all away quickly as there are clothes everywhere in the way, but they have pee'd me off for this long, what's another week or so for some bits to have a shot on Ebay.

Got lots of vouchers to redeem from various places, just trying to decide where best to get them for!

Off to an ok start with £7.50 in vouchers on items that I would have bought anyway(stockpiling atm!)

Taking advantage of the free listing time on e bay then im going to explore a few more local internet free ad places for selling the bulkier stuff, while also relisting on gum tree. This month will be very very busy!

Applied for a p/t job (which will become my main job) so fingers crossed for that.
  • Hi all, id like to join this month, although i think £5 a day might be my limit as very new to all this.
