I need advice please

My current account with natwest was closed without any warning. I have an overdraft of £1221.66 owe on the account. I had an injury at work that made me unemploy and unable to work.

The bank has sold the debt to a debt collection agency called fredrickson international limited. And they have been pressurising me to pay back.

And they have put a default on my credit report

What I want to find out is since the bank closed the account, have they not forfeit the right for me to pay it back.

The debt collection agency have given me seven day to pay otherwise a county court proceeding will be issue against me.

Is there anyway I can fight it ?

    Hello Stevo,
I think you might get more replies if you post on the Debt-Free Wannabe board - this section is all diaries of people's progress in reducing their debts.

Sorry I can't offer any advice, as I've never been in your position, but Good Luck - I hope you find out who you need to contact to get the debt collectors off your back asap.
