'Free' cordless Morphy Richards filter kettle at Tesco

I always hesitate to use the word 'free' when something is required to acquire an item, but this really is pretty darned close!
The Morphy Richards 43541 cordless electric kettle, which incorporates a Brita Maxtra filter inside the kettle, is on sale for the ridiculously good price of £20 at Tesco (it's upwards of £40 from many other stockists).
However, it is in the current Clubcard Exchange, which means £10 of Tesco vouchers gets you a £20 kettle.

If it is out of stock, worth revisiting the link - more stock expected imminently, I'm told.

Thanks for sharing. It's not really free though because you have to use £10.00 of Clubcard vouchers. To get Clubcard vouchers you have to spend money to get points which you exchange for vouchers. Maybe this would be best posted under another thread as not really a grabbit?0 -
So, it costs £10 worth of vouchers then, which is an interesting new definition of "free"..0

I don't really get the point of this post - anything that costs £20 in Tesco can be paid for with £10 Clubcard vouchers or £10 products can be paid for with £5 Clubcard vouchers etc etc, not just the kettle.
Might be more suited to the Shop don't drop board?Feb wins: Angry Birds mug, £250 Perfume Shop bundle0 -
The kettle is cheap at £20 but as I don't shop in Tesco it's sadly not "free" for me.0

i nearly got excited then... how is this different to other items on tesco club card exchangeReceived £2,626.00 in PPI -2013:j

There are some really horrible people on this forum, smart Alecs who really should get a life. The word free was put like this, 'free' which acknowledges that technically it isn't. While ever you keep on with pointless comments it just bumps the post up keeping it current. If you were that fussed about it being inappropriate maybe you should just ignore it so it eventually disappears, but if you do that it won't make you feel clever I guess. Think it's time I left, I'm sick of seeing people treated this way for trying to help.0

I can vouch for this kettle. We got one last year when they were £5 & it's grand.
I've taken the filter bit out now so I don't need to buy Brita filters. Our Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...
