I took out a loan 2004 possibly earlier` plus a further two loans all were consolidated into one loan which I paid off in around 2009,
I was encouraged to take out PPI which I didnt want, and each time it was surrendered "money back" and renewed onto the next.
My problem is I dont have the loan agreement or any :o

I can only go back starting from 2009 to 2006 on my online banking HSBC which shows my loan repayments of £170,
One another thing I noticed in 2006 on my statement it shows up as .. My Name*PLN£170 .. but on my 2009 statement it shows up as ..My Name*ZLN£170.
I was self employed at the time of these loans and still am today and still bank with HSBC.

1)So do I chase up the agreement forms first .. if they still have my records?
2)Do I just write to the bank and ask for it back since I know I had ppi from the start
Please` any advise, regards Davy

    2. Explain why you think you were mis-sold.

Just write to them explaining why it was mis sold to you and request the return.

Only get embroiled in paperwork if you get a rejection

It means you pursue option 2. But your letter should explain why you think you are entitled to a refund,

Many thanks that's what I was hoping for after reading on there website that they would deal with ppi complaints on my behalf and not to bother with claims chasing companies.
HSBC source .. not allowed sorry

Have a look the home section of mse or under the reclaim £1,000's link at the top.

or google hsbc ppi claim theres a link for hsbc and tells you what to do.

What makes you think that your PPI cost you more than the £4,200 they are offering you? If you are unable to quantify the cost then I would take what they are offering you.
