I have an EPSON EMP-S3L projector
native SVGA max resolution 1024*768
it has S video, Component video inputs. Can I connect the Xbox 360 to this?
I found out that the Xbox360 has S video output. But what will i have to do to get the sound?
Quite impressed with the deals for the core console at the moment.
I do a bit of gaming with my PC with wireless keyboard connected to my projector and thats great. I think the gaming would be better with a handheld controller though.
Any ideas??
PS: I bought a wireless controller for my PC for gaming. Only very few PC games are supported by those though:o

Yes but you should use the VGA lead or component lead. To get the sound you will have to hook the xbox up to an external amp via the optical cable or analogue cables0 -
Course you can, I use mine and get a 96" screen, makes gears of war very atmospheric.0

for best quality, stick the component cable on the 360 into the projector, then hook up the sound using an optical lead between the 360 and the amp/surround system.
As an aside, the core console seems fairly pants and you can get some real good deals on the premium.
(PS: 96" GoW- NICE)0 -

If you manage it, im VERY willing to come over yours and play ghost recon! With surround sound and cups of tea when i want!0 -
how did you go about it then?
Tos link Cable from 360 lead to Amp for the audio, and S Video to the projector for the visuals. 1min setup max. 5mins fiddling with the projector and big screen 360fun to be had by all. And theres room on my sofa for more players, no tea in my house though only coffee and vodka.
Edit: Plus its girlfriend friendly, the living room isnt dominated by a big telly, I have an A4 sized box of kit on a bookshelf, and a drop down screen hidden by the curtain pelmet.0 -
Isnt there some risk of screen burn on a projector?MSE's Xbox 360 guru.
Ask me anything!0
