Bought 2 tumbledryer balls in Poundstretcher yesterday for 99p. I know they used to be expensive from Lakeland etc, don't know if they're still as costly but not in Poundstretcher it seems.

I found that too but after a while in the dryer they soften and get quieter!0

"We tested the Amazing tumble dryer balls (£8) but they were amazing for all the wrong reasons. Far from reducing creasing and saving drying time as they claim, they made no difference in our tests."

Weird, we use those balls, and I noticed a difference with my washing.
and i bought the same 99p balls from the 99p store.
I also bought one cant remember where from, with the magnet inside, which you use in the washing machine. supposed to do something to the water so you use less washing powder, That also works great.
small note: when using use about 50% less powder. otherwise to much foam.0 -
i tried the lakeland ones but found absolutely no difference and eventually stopped using them.0

I just dry mine with a towel :cool:0

I had some from the 99p shop to try, they were spikey and soft and didn't make too much noise but after the second go the glue holding them together melted, the balls fell apart and the glue welded itself on to the drum...nice!
Got some solid ones from a different 99p shop and they're fab, cut the drying time down by 1/3 and beats the creases out of jeans."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
I had some from Poundland, I find them great when your towels come off the line stiff, pop them in the dryer with these for 5-10 minutes and they're all fluffed up again.0
