Basic/Value Crisps

I usually buy these in either Tesco or Sainsburys, but they haven't been in either of my local stores for a couple of weeks and the gap is filled with Walkers, asked a young lad filling up, but he didn't know. Just wondering if it's all stores and anyone know why?
Not had chance to go to Asda, has anyone seen them in there and tried them?
Thanks

There was a thread by cooltriker (sp?) warning about this last week some time.
It seems that it is the basic items they start removing around now to start to fit in the christmas ranges. I will try to find the thread for you.
I have not tried basic crisps but Lidl £1.99 for 24pkts are better than walkers.

The Lidl 24 pkts are now £2.15, they put them up a couple of weeks ago. The Aldi ones are still £1.99 though. There was a thread by cooltriker (sp?) warning about this last week some time.
