My Mum donated one of these to me

It's a Russell Hobbs 1140 (I think) I am unable to source the missing dough hooks, however as I have some money sitting doing nothing, I was considering getting on e of these
A Breville SHM2

Does anyone here own one of these, I am finding it difficult to source a review.
With both machines I like the fact you can remove the upper section to use it as a hand mixer.
My main baking is light cakes/muffins & the occasional carrot cake or passion cake.

Yes the spares dept was one of the 1st ports of call, they only do parts for current machines.Butterfly_Brain wrote: »If money is no object I would go for a Kenwood every time. Amazon have the prospero starting at £143.00
I can get the Breville for £35 (but I suspect it is due to be discontinued) .0 -
Just to update, I have purchased the unit, quick to set up and it is quieter than the RH model, not used it yet, although I ought to try the dough hooks 1st, I may run some summer fruit muffins :cool:0
