I knew an 'ethnic' family who regularly used it in there meals, didnt seem to do them any harm, but I thought they were barking mad.
  • Eating pet food can be very dangerous - I would suggest you read this first....

Donate it to an animal shelter, do your good deed for the day.

I agree with the majority of the other posters here. Donate it, do not eat it.

Even if you don't live near to a shelter there are many supermarkets that collect pet food to give to the local animal charity.

I'm hoping that the only reason you are considering this in the first place is because you just happen to have them and not because you are so poor you cannot afford foods fit for human consumption.

If your struggling moneywise why not stick it on gumtree for a couple of pound? i know personally i would buy it as my dogs have a complete food rather than meat so it would be a nice treat for them. Then you can use the money for some proper food.

One of my relatives worked painting/maintenance at a pet food factory. The smell was awful - the meat processed was disgusting before it was cooked and processed.

Thats even more reason not to eat it !!!!

Personally i hate the smell of pet food in any form but my dogs don't seem to mind.

Don't ask me how but I have come by about 50 tins of various types of dog and cat food. One problem is that I don't own any pets!

I want to ask you though - how did you end up with 50 tins of pet food?
