Dh wants a biscuit. I would usually solve this with some frozen dough and bake one but i have none made and do not fancy it now.
We have a HUGE box of buscuits from IKEA which he could have one or two of, but iirc these fo stale quite quickly, even in a lock and lock tupperware. We do not eat many buscuits, so these are sitting here for when we have a busy weekend of people dropping in....
Is there a magic solution i have not thought of?

Could the excess biscuits be frozen, and refreshed in the oven when needed?[0

Gosh, does that work?
Won't with these i think, because they are cocolatey and so will melt, but with something like a gingernut that would helpful if it works!0 -
I would be tempted to put them in a l&l with a handful of rice to absorb any moisture, should keep them fresher for a bit longer. or possibly a couple of kitchen rolls twists of salt???freecycler and skip diver extraordinnaire:cool:0

My sister keeps her choc biccys in the fridge (yuck)
I always find they do go stale easily when boxed, even in an airtight container. Packet biscuits seem to last quite well in their original packaging with the excess left at the top twistes round

My 95 yr old nan solves this problem by putting a couple of sugar cubes in with the biscuits to absorb any moisture. She also puts a few grains of rice in the salt cellar to keep the salt flowing
Sometimes the old ideas work well!Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0 -

In our house biscuits are always stored in preserving jars (the rubber seal, metal catch type) instead a biscuit barrel. Usually have 2 or 3 in use and biscuits have yet to go stale.
2 or 3 smaller ones are better than a huge one because you can seperate the stronger flavours like ginger or coconut and they don't taint the more delicate milder ones.0 -
I think the roblem is we are not terribly biscuity, dh has a couple a month. I try hard to avoid all together, unless atsting a new recipe.
These went in a locknlock witha sugar cube and they already feel just a bit softer.
We have builders in tomorrow, i am sure they will help us out.0
