Find your way to the Cairngorms with your chance to win a fantastic weekend course in Navigation Skills at Scotland's National Outdoor Centre, Glenmore Lodge. Glenmore Lodge is set in the heart of the Cairngorms in the midst of the beautiful Scottish Highlands and is home to some of the country’s top instructors.

One lucky winner will be able to choose two places on:

Introduction to Navigation Skills worth £160 per person—for those new to navigation or those who know the basics but suspect they should know more. This two day course provides a solid grounding in the skills and techniques necessary to confidently find your way in the hills.

This is a short but intensive introduction to map reading & contour interpretation, route planning, using the compass, pacing & timing, navigation strategies and re-location skills.

Advanced Navigation Skills worth £170 per person—this two day course is ideal for those comfortable with the basics of navigation but who want to gain an insight into navigation in poor visibility and away from paths and tracks. Time will also be given to looking at the use of altimeters & GPS.

Not only will you be tutored under the guidance of some of the country's best instructors, Glenmore Lodge will throw in food and board for the weekend and all navigation equipment will be provided. Terms and Conditions apply.
